However, the need to pre-freeze the container can be a drawback if you are looking for quick and spontaneous preparation.

    Automatic machines or ice-cream makers

    Finally, ice cream makers, automatic machines, represent the most advanced and convenient option. These machines include a compressor that freezes the ingredients as they are mixed, eliminating the need to pre-freeze the container. Although they are the most expensive and can take up more space, they offer the greatest convenience and speed in preparing ice cream. They are ideal for those who plan to make ice cream frequently and are looking for a hassle-free operation.

    Choosing the right machine depends on several factors, including budget, frequency of use, and personal preferences. For those looking for an affordable solution and don’t mind physical exertion, manual machines may be ideal. If you are looking for a balance between price and ease of use, semi-automatics are an excellent option. On the other hand, those who value convenience and speed, and do not have budget restrictions, will find automatic machines the best alternative.

    Tips and tricks for making perfect ice cream

    Making ice cream at home can be a rewarding and delicious experience. To achieve ice cream with a smooth and creamy texture, it is essential to follow some tips and tricks. One of the most important aspects is the correct mix of ingredients. Using fresh, high-quality ingredients is essential. The ice cream base is usually a mixture of cream, milk, sugar and eggs, although vegan alternatives such as coconut or almond milk can also be used.

    A common problem when making homemade ice cream is the formation of ice crystals. To avoid this, it is crucial to keep the mixture constantly moving during the freezing process. If you don’t have an ice cream machine, you can churn the mixture every 30 minutes while it freezes (hence the great usefulness of ice cream makers). Additionally, adding a small amount of alcohol, such as vodka or liqueur, can help reduce crystal formation (forget this if the ice creams are for younger children!!!).

    Achieving a smooth, creamy texture also depends on the proportion of fat in the recipe. Cream and whole milk contribute to a richer texture. However, it is important not to exceed the amount of fat, as it can negatively affect the flavor and consistency.
